Mundane

Not much happened today; it was a Monday. Be that as it may, let me embellish my boring day to make it exciting.

After surviving the near freezing temperatures of the night, I claimed my territory at the group watering hole, or breakfast table if you prefer. I devoured a well mixed serving of rice, sugar, salt, malt flavor, red 40, and blue 1. The other members of my tribe survive by the caffeine branch of life, so they forego-ed the human dog food.

Next, I teleported 250 miles into my worksite where I sorted millions of dollars in claims for [name redacted for client privacy reasons]. The fate of 1000s of lives (assuming you consider accurately priced health care plans, as life and death) rested in my hands, so I preformed my job well. Still, I was just the first gear in the machine, so more experienced gears processed the data as well and reviewed my work.

After work, my family and I broke bread. We also broke: cattle, pinto beans, tomato, sour cream, corn and cheese. The remains of these crumbles, we mixed together into a tasty soup.

To cap off a mundane Monday, we traveled to the edge of the contiguous United States. Toes in the sand, we stared into the horizon as the sun slowly died. It was pretty peaceful.

Scheduling update: I fell short of my October goal by one post. For November, my goal is to post two dumb thoughts a week, on randomly chosen dates while also posting three chapters of my book throughout the month. Revamping the blog formatting would also be a good goal, so I’m adding that to the list.
