Editing
In this post here, I’m going to focus on editing. I’m going to do an actual post, but focus my writing time on going back and editing my previous posts. I’ve purchased two books on editing and the main takeaway from both books is that you should remove all the redundancies or words that don’t need to be there and only keep the minimum amount of words to effectively communicate your thoughts.
This post focuses on editing. Additionally, I plan to edit my previous posts. One of the fundamentals of editing is removing unnecessary words - only keep the words needed to effectively communicate your thoughts.

It seems no one read this post, so I’ve decided to use this nook as a means to hide my personal stylistic guide for the blog. I plan to periodically return to ordain my style. For anyone who stumbles across the below guide and thinks to themselves: “Wouldn’t it be easier to house this somewhere else? This seems kinda dumb.” I respond: “Yes.”
Titles: Capitalize the first word, all other words uncapitalized
Motivation: By capitalizing a word, the writer decrees word importance. By not capitalizing words that otherwise should be capitalized, I’m saying that my work isn’t important. It fits the theme of “Dumb thoughts”.
Guest post titles: Capitalize all the important words, like a normal book title.
Motivation: Communicates that guest posts are valued higher than my own work. I love when people write in :)
Post schedule:
Goal: 2 times a week, not including guest posts
Wednesdays and Sundays
Guest posts on Mondays
By “post” I mean when I link to a distribution channel.
Marketing:
Current distribution channels:
Facebook (pool = 318)
Growth goal: 1% each month
